Our School

WCS maintains membership in Christian Schools International (CSI), and partners with Independent School District 518  for services such as nursing care, hot lunch program, counseling services, and special education.

We seek to develop well-rounded students by offering excellent curriculum coupled with instruction in Art, Music, and Biblical Studies; and opportunities in field trips, competitions, service projects, fine arts, and sports.

We utilize classrooms shared between two grade levels within our grade school. Students prosper in this environment, which allows younger students to learn from the older students, while still maintaining relatively small, manageable class sizes.

Our Story

Started by a parent society in 1948, Worthington Christian School held classes in two basement rooms until the full building at 1118 Johnson Avenue was completed in 1952.  The need for additional facilities and a playground led to an earnest effort to find a new location and raise funds for a new building.

On March 18, 1994, we moved into our new building at 1770 Eleanor Street.  Our large playground, practice fields and the addition of a gymnasium in 2001completed our13-acre campus.

Since those days in 1948 Worthington Christian has been able to teach hundreds of students the the tools to be great thinkers who love God and are devoted to the truth of His word.
