To help keep tuition at a minimum, WCS families are asked to participate in a variety of school-wide fundraisers. These fundraisers provide an atmosphere of fellowship and friendship for our families. Main committees are broken down into "Boosters" or "School Board" committees. Monies from these fundraisers go to both general purpose (maintenance, facilities, staff salaries, etc.) and specific purposes (i.e. technology enhancements, classroom needs). Families who are new to the school are asked to serve on only a Boosters committee their first year (alongside their Mentor Family). After that, each family will serve on a committee under each category. Committee participation typically involves pre-event tasks such as planning, set up/tear down, as well as participation in the actual event. All (non-committee) families may also be asked to be involved in these events via working a shift at the event, providing food or drinks, or making a small monetary donation to help off-set event expenses.
Examples of these fundraising events include the Soup & Pie Supper and Donation Auction.
