Grading at WCS is built to be both challenging and to a level appropriate for the age of the student and his/her skills and abilities.
Students in Kindergarten are graded as follows:
P+ = Nearly to the goal
P = Progressing to the Goal
P- = More work required
S+ = Excellent
S = Satisfactory
S - = Needs Improvement
U = Unacceptable
Students in Grades 1-8 utilize the following grading scale:
Below 64% F
At the point of Midterm each quarter, any student receiving a failing grade in any class will be prohibited from participating in extra-curricular activities until the grade improves. Examples of these activities include, but are not limited to: field trips, service projects, and athletic events for 5th-8th graders (the student will be expected to be at the athletic event, but not participate).
The goal of WCS is to educate children in the light of God’s Word and to prepare them for a life of service to God, to His Creation, and to their community.
