Worthington Christian School (WCS) is a private school with membership in Christian Schools International (CSI), located in Worthington, MN.   We are a non-denominational school, representing over 10 different churches.  We operate under the theory that Christian education should give students the tools to be great thinkers who love God and are devoted to the truth of His word.  As such, a Biblical worldview is incorporated throughout our curricula.

We offer classes in Kindergarten through 8th grade, partnering with Independent School District 518 for services such as nursing care, hot lunch program, counseling services, and special education.  We utilize shared classrooms for grades 1-8 (1st & 2nd combined, 3rd & 4th combined, etc.).  This allows for teaching to both the individual class level (for core curriculum such as Math or Reading) and combined instruction (such as Bible, Music, and Art).  Students prosper in this environment, which allows younger students to learn from the older students, while still maintaining relatively small, manageable class sizes.  Our student-to-teacher ratios far surpass local public schools.  We also provide Title I teaching services and Paraprofessional services as needed for additional one-on-one instruction.

WCS seeks to develop well-rounded students as all grades participate in vocal music beginning in Kindergarten, and present all-school musical programs at Christmastime and in the spring.  Our 5th-8th grade students also participate in activities such as band and athletics (volleyball/soccer, basketball, and track).  Other activities our students participate in at varying ages include:  Fine Arts Night, State/Country and Science/History Fairs, community service projects (i.e. singing or reading in nursing homes, Love Inc. Christmas Tree decorating, highway garbage clean-up, etc.), and multiple educational field trips.  These activities provide hands-on lessons on Christian life, giving, and community, which are reinforced in the classroom setting.

Hi-Ho Preschool is also located at 1770 Eleanor St., on the north side of the WCS facility.  It provides services for 3-4 year olds and is operated independently from WCS.  Hi-Ho may be reached at 507-727-8180.

The goal of WCS is to educate children in the light of God’s Word and to prepare them for a life of service to God, to His Creation, and to their community.
